Massive house has an underground gun range — and it’s in Texas, of course. See it
There’s a reason why, when crossing the New Mexico state border, there’s a sign that reads “Don’t Mess With Texas.” The no-nonsense state has a great deal to offer, including BBQ, open spaces and homes that include almost everything.
And that includes gun ranges.
But the range in this particular estate for sale in Midland, Texas, is special. Why? Because it’s underground, according to the listing on Realtor.com.
The entire home, which appears unfinished, is listed for $835,000.
“Impossible to build what’s already been done, for this price!” the listing says. “Three stories, w/elevator, secluded master on third floor, trophy room, huge (guest) wing, mezzanine w/covered balcony, cantina/entertaining area, underground shooting range, custom details throughout this sprawling estate. Most of the work is done, just waiting for your personal finishing touches.”
The home stretches over 14,500-square-feet, which is roughly larger than some megamansions in Los Angeles, and sits on 1.24 acres. Photos show spacious areas throughout the home, with cement floors, staircases and unfinished ceilings. The exterior appears to be nearly completed, with a large driveway and brick walls.
The gun range appears to be at the bottom of a staircase leading straight down into a brick underground with a long corridor.
There also appears to be a somewhat finished bar that’s in the entertainment area.
The bones of the home are certainly sturdy enough for a new owner to build their dream compound.
Midland is about a 305-mile drive east from El Paso.
