Amber Alert: Police look for 11-year-old girl who went missing Thursday in southeast Texas
The Polk County Sheriff’s Office is looking for an 11-year-old girl who went missing Thursday morning in Livingston in southeast Texas.
Authorities are looking for Audrii Cunningham. She was last seen at 7 a.m. Thursday in the 100 block of Lakeside Drive in Livingston.
A statewide Amber Alert was issued Thursday night.
She is described as white with blond hair and blue eyes, is 4 feet 1 inch tall, and weighs 75 pounds. She was last seen wearing a black hoodie with white lettering, a camouflage backpack, black pants and black high-top tennis shoes.
The Texas Department of Public Safety identified Don Steven McDougal as a person of interest in Cunningham’s disappearance, according to a report by Star-Telegram media partner WFAA-TV.
McDougal was arrested and booked Friday into the Polk County Jail on aggravated assault charges unrelated to Cunningham’s disappearance.
Crews with Texas EquuSearch resumed search efforts Saturday morning at Lake Livingston after investigators found a backpack at the dam that is consistent with the one belonging to the child, according to WFAA.
Authorities are offering a $7,000 reward for information leading to an arrest. Anyone with information on Cunningham’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Polk County Sheriff’s Office at 936-327-6810.
