Amber Alert suspect arrested, but 2 San Antonio girls remain missing

The Amber Alert for two missing San Antonio girls remains in effect even though the suspect and his vehicle were located Friday night, officials said.

Julio Najar-Trevino, 29, was arrested shortly before 10:30 p.m. and charged with interference with child custody, according to Bexar County court records.

Zylah Faulks, 2, and Kamil Brown-Sykes, 9, are still missing, and authorities believe the girls are in grave or immediate danger. The girls were last seen around 4:50 p.m. Thursday in the 3200 block of Bolmore Drive, according to the alert.

Zylah is a Black girl, around 2-foot-9, weighing 30 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. Kamil is a Black girl, about 3-foot-9 and weighing 80 pounds. There is no description of the girls’ clothing.

Police were looking for Najar-Trevino in connection with their abduction.
