When Elon Musk launched SpaceX in 2002, he planned to colonize Mars. According to a recent announcement, he has settled on colonizing Texas.

The billionaire CEO of Tesla and SpaceX and, most recently, Twitter, is building a company town for employees of his ventures, including tunneling startup The Boring Company.

Snailbrook” will be built on the 3,500 acres Musk has purchased near the Colorado River, the Wall Street Journal reported. It will be next to future Boring and SpaceX facilities, about 35 miles from Austin.

Musk advisers have reportedly researched incorporating the town in Bastrop County, which would allow Musk to set some of his own regulations.

To apply for incorporation in Texas, a town needs at least 201 residents. According to the Wall Street Journal, Bastrop County hasn’t received applications from Musk or his companies.
