Missing 17-year-old girl found safe, unharmed in North Texas residence

A missing 17-year-old North Texas girl has been found safe in North Texas, authorities said Thursday.

Celina police in conjunction with federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies located Alexis Vidler, 17, at a residence near Princeton, police said Thursday afternoon. She was found unharmed.

Alexis was returned to the custody of officials with Child Protective Services in the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services.

Celina police did not release any other details on the Amber Alert case.

Officials with the Texas Department of Public Safety issued the Amber Alert early Thursday for Vidler, who was reported kidnapped Monday evening in Celina.

She had last been seen about 7:20 p.m. Monday.

Celina is about 60 miles northeast of Fort Worth.

DPS officials noted that the incident was believed to be a child abduction..
