President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden will visit Uvalde on Sunday following a mass shooting at an elementary school where 19 children and two teachers where killed.

There Biden will “grieve with the community that lost twenty-one lives in the horrific elementary school shooting,” according to a White House announcement.

Further details about the president and first lady’s itinerary were not released.

Following the shooting, Biden called for bills to restrict access to guns.

“Why are we willing to live with this carnage?” he said in a Tuesday speech. “Why do we keep letting this happen? Where in God’s name is our backbone to have the courage to deal with it and stand up to the lobbies? It’s time to turn this pain into action.”
