Coast Guard crews are searching for a 94-year-old man who set off 90 miles into the Texas Gulf waters on a fishing trip.

Frank Marinic was last seen on Nov. 30, aboard his 34-foot fishing boat named the Mar Boa, the Coast Guard said in a release. Marinic was due back on Saturday, Dec. 4, according to a friend of his.

Sea and airborne search and rescue teams were launched and began searching the area where Marinic was expected to be.

The aircrew located his boat near Claypile Bank, roughly 90 miles off the coast of Galveston. They sent a crewmember down to search the vessel but there was nobody on board, according to the release.

The search for Marinic is continuing, the Coast Guard said, and anyone with information is encouraged to call officials at the Sector Houston-Galveston Command Center at 281-464-4851.
