Burger, fries and a wedding on the side: Here’s how to tie the knot at Whataburger
If you love Whataburger almost as much as you love your fiancee, listen up!
The burger chain is giving six couples the opportunity to get married at one of six Texas Whataburger locations, the company said on its website.
The weddings will take place on the most romantic day of the year: Valentine’s Day 2020.
The best part? Whataburger will cover the whole shebang.
Winning couples will get a number of traditional wedding trappings including a wedding cake, bow tie, bouquet and guest book along with photography, an officiant and a number of Whataburger-inspired items, the company said.
And of course the restaurant will cater the event.
“Nothing says love at first bite like wedding bells at Whataburger, and we can’t wait to celebrate a couple of love stories with some of our very own Whataburger super-fans,” Vice President Pam Cox said, according to WFAA.
If this sounds like the wedding of your dreams, you’re in luck: entering the contest is easy.
Submit a photo of you and your betrothed along with an essay of no more than 500 words detailing your love story and explaining why you and your partner want to get married on Valentine’s Day by Feb. 2, according to the official rules. Entries with essays over 500 words will not be considered.
Couples, who can live anywhere in the United States, will be chosen based on their creativity and their story’s connection to Whataburger along with the clarity and compliance of their submission, the rules state.
One couple will be chosen for each participating location: Houston, Fort Worth, Dallas, College Station, San Antonio and Corpus Christi, the company says. Winners will be notified between Feb. 4 and 7.
To top it all off, one of the six couples will be chosen as the Grand WhataWedding Winner and get a cool $5,000 to put toward their honeymoon, the rules state.
