Two people were killed in a multi-vehicle wreck in Decatur on Tuesday night.

Seth A. Evans, 23, from Boyd and a passenger, Makayla M. Stoff, 18, of Azle were killed in the wreck at 5:08 p.m.

According to police, a 2011 Ford F-150 pickup was traveling south on Farm Road 730 at County Road 4374 behind a 2007 Cadillac. The driver of the Cadillac slowed to a stop to make a left turn onto the county road and was waiting for traffic driving north on FM 730 to pass before turning, police reported.

The pickup hit the Cadillac from behind, then swerved into the northbound traffic lane. The truck then hit a 1998 Ford Escort headed north on Farm Road 730, according to police.

Evans and Stoff were in the Escort, police said.

The driver of the pickup, James T. Blackwood, 47, of Decatur, was taken to Denton Medical City Hospital with undisclosed injuries.

The driver of the Cadillac, Glenda Hogan, 69, and passenger Curtis Carter, 45, both from Decatur, were not injured.
