911 system returned to several North Texas communities after outage Wednesday
Update 3:30 p.m.: The 911 system has been restored.
Update 2:59 p.m.: All calls are being manually rerouted and calling 9-1-1 is working. However, calls will be rerouted to the department’s ten digit non-emergency number, so callers must know their location, according to the Plano Police Department.

The North Central Texas Council of Governments is experiencing an issue with the 911 system across the region.
Areas affected include Cleburne, Frisco, Rockwall, Weatherford and several others.
Non-emergency numbers for those cities include:
- Cleburne: 817-645-0972
- Frisco: 972-292-6010
- Rockwall: 972-771-7717
- Weatherford: 817-598-4310; 817-598-4481; 817-598-4023
- Allen: 214-509-4321
