A woman was sexually assaulted by a man who pretended to be a police officer and pulled her over in Grand Prairie on Saturday, according to police.

The woman was pulled over in the 4000 block of East Jefferson Street at about 1 a.m. by a black SUV equipped with red and blue lights around the front fender, police said in a news release.

The suspect told the woman to get into the backseat of his vehicle where he sexually assaulted her, police said.

Police described the suspect as a Hispanic male, about 25 years old, 6 feet 2 inches tall, weighing about 250 pounds with black slicked-back hair, a mustache with stubble on his face and thick eyebrows. At the time of the assault, he was wearing a black tactical-style uniform with a badge and duty belt, according to police.

Anyone who recognizes the composite sketches of the suspect or his vehicle should contact Grand Prairie police or Crime Stoppers at 972-988-8477. Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for information that leads to an arrest.
