11 arrested in Denton County human-trafficking sting
Eleven people were arrested in Lewisville last week in a human-trafficking sting, authorities said.
The arrests were made Thursday and Friday, according to a news release from the Denton County Sheriff’s Department.
Eight women were arrested on charges of prostitution: Meeliasha Escobedo, Kearis Morris, Alycia Red, Leneicia Griffin, Jordan Hussey, Sundee Hunter, Alexus Harden and Jasmine King.
Two men, Micah Freeman and James Allen, were arrested on charges of compelling prostitution, while a third man, Craig Childers, was arrested on charges of prostitution and possession of a controlled substance, the news release said.
The Sheriff’s Department, Lewisville police and the Department of Homeland Security investigated the case.
