A California man died this week from injuries he suffered in a wreck on U.S. 287 north of Alvord on Dec. 5, authorities said.
John Squire, 56, died Monday night at Denton Regional Medical Center.
Squire was driving south on 287 about 2:45 p.m. on Dec. 5 when his Toyota pickup truck was struck by a box truck, said Sgt. Lonny Haschel, Department of Public Safety spokesman.
The wreck happened at County Road 1591, north of Alvord. The box truck had crossed in front of Squire’s truck before hitting the side of it, Haschel said.
The driver of the box truck suffered minor injuries.
DPS officials were still investigating the crash this week.
Tarrant County medical examiner’s office listed a Sacramento, Calif., address for Squire.
