A Central Texas woman was arrested on a felony child endangerment charge Monday after her newborn baby tested positive for methamphetamine, according to an arrest warrant affidavit obtained by the Waco Tribune-Herald.
Lacy Dianne Anderson, 34, gave birth to the baby at her home in Robinson on Oct. 20, the newspaper reported.
The next day, Child Protective Services workers were called to the home to investigate a report of physical abuse against the baby. The baby later tested positive for meth the same day, according to the affidavit obtained by the Tribune-Herald.
Anderson had used meth twice since the baby’s birth, a family member told CPS, according to the report.
Anderson had bonded out of McLennan County Jail by Tuesday afternoon.
