Central Texas counselor had drugs in locker, police say
A counselor at a Central Texas treatment center for children was caught with marijuana and meth in her locker, police said.
Kathleen Redlin, who is now an ex-employee of the Meridell Achievement Center in Liberty Hill near Austin, faces charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana.
An arrest warrant affidavit obtained by the Austin American-Statesman said the center received an anonymous tip that Redline had drugs in her locker.
Inside, officials found baggies of meth along with a plastic bag and a wooden container with marijuana, the affidavit said. She told officials the drugs were hers.
KXAN reports Redlin had 0.05 ounces of marijuana and 3.1 grams of meth.
A representative for the center told the station Redlin no longer works there.
According to online records, Redlin was in the Williamson County Jail Monday with bail set at a total of $15,000.
According to its website, the center offers psychiatric and neuropsychiatric treatment for kids ages 11 to 17.
