Is your Benz among the 323,000 recalled by Mercedes over a possible stalling problem?
The company with the slogan “The Best or Nothing” is recalling 323,963 cars and SUVs because water damage can leave Mercedes-Benz drivers with a whole lot of nothing from the engine.
Here’s what you need to know.
What’s the problem?
As explained by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, “Water might accumulate in the spare tire wheel well and damage the fuel pump control unit, which could cause an engine stall while driving.”

What should you do?
Roll your Mercedes to a dealership’s service department, where service staff will inspect for water intrusion, install a water drain plug and a replace the fuel pump, if necessary. The service will be free.
