Texas Gov. Greg Abbott is scheduled to visit Fort Worth on Wednesday to ceremonially sign public safety legislation.

Abbott’s office did not specify which bill or bills he would be signing in a media advisory sent Tuesday.

Joining the governor for the new conference and bill signing is Fort Worth Mayor Mattie Parker, Texas Department of Public Safety Director Steve McCraw, Tarrant County Sheriff Bill Waybourn and Fort Worth Police Chief Neil Noakes, according to the advisory. Members of the Texas Legislature, law enforcement officials and public safety advocates are also expected to attend.
