Hagenbuch’s campaign website says he will “fight the woke cultural decline infecting corporate and government institutions, support law enforcement, and maintain Texas’ commitment to border security.”

Frey, a web developer, said his priorities for the district are health care, public education and infrastructure.

Senate District 30 covers Archer, Clay, Cooke, Grayson, Jack, Montague and Young counties. It includes parts of Collin, Denton, Parker and Wichita counties.

Who are your top three campaign contributors?

My mother. Young Democrats. Myself.

Why are you seeking this office?

To fix our broken Healthcare system, support our Public Schools & Teachers, and stand against the School Voucher Scam.

What are your top 3 policy priorities?

Healthcare, Public Education, Infastructure.

Why should voters choose you over your opponent(s)?

I am passionate about funding our Public Education System by increasing the Basic Allotment (within the WADA). My opponent on the other-hand support the Voucher Scam

What is the biggest challenge facing the district where you’re running, and what is your plan to address it?

Public Education is underfunded and our water infrastructure needs to be enhanced.

How would you measure your success as a state legislator?

I believe all candidates should be measured based on the quality of life our citizens have by the time the legislature is done.

Do you support vouchers or voucher-like programs, such as education savings accounts? Why or why not?

No. Vouchers defund public education. The Voucher program being offered does NOT utilize our massive surplus that we very much do have in Texas. Vouchers are an attack on Public education.

What is your plan to fund Texas public schools?

Increase the Basic Allotment in the WADA by at least $1,400. With the inflation that has occurred, this will restore us back to 2019 education rates.

Has the state done enough to ensure a steady supply of electricity, even in tight grid conditions? What more should be done?

No. We need to invest into our electrical infrastructure, and not restrict such funding to only oil companies (like Proposition 7 in 2023) did. We also need to become part of the national power grid.

What should the state do in the coming legislative session to address road infrastructure?

We have a massive surplus that we can use to fund infrastructure enhancelemnts.

What should the state do in the coming legislative session to address the supply of water in Texas?

We need to invest more into water recycling centers, and water transport. Creating more likes (i.e. Lake Ringold) helps too however, lakes in Texas are notoriously shallow and with wide surface areas, become susceptible to evaporation by the Texas sun.

What should the state do in the coming legislative session to address border security along the Texas-Mexico border and immigration?

This is a congressional issue. Funding CBP is the job of congress.

What should the state legislature do to address property taxes and affordable housing for Texans in the coming legislative session?

We need to bring these rates down, progress has been made in the last legislature, but more can be done.

Should Texas make any changes to its current abortion laws. Why or why not, and what changes would you support?

It is insane to think there are no exceptions for rape and incest. We need to support woman. Abortion care is Healthcare.

What’s an issue that doesn’t make as many headlines but is important to you? Why is it important?

N/A

What steps will you take to communicate with constituents about their concerns, needs and the actions of the state legislature?

I will hold town halls, and make myself available for meeting constituents.
