No
Why are you seeking this office?
As the first in my family to graduate college, I want every child in FWISD to have the same opportunities that I had. I want them to be prepared to join the work force or go on to higher learning, if they so wish. Fort Worth is a vibrant city which must have an ISD that we can all be proud of, not one mired in controversy.
What are the biggest challenges facing your district?
Some of the lowest scores in district for reading and math; extremely diverse district which deserves a leader who will be present, listen, and work with everyone who wants to improve our schools.
What would your top 3 policy priorities be?
Improve scores, positively engage parents and caregivers, and be transparent in all matters.
Why should voters choose you over your opponent(s)?
FWISD is at a critical juncture. Parents are choosing other options for their children instead of FWISD. Our scores continue to decline. The district needs a proven leader with a track record for making difficult decisions in the best interests of our students. I offer that experience and will give my all to this position if elected.
The current superintendent will be leaving his position in August. What characteristics will you be looking for in a new district leader?
It is imperative that the district hire a leader with fresh ideas to improve our diverse urban school district. This person must engage all stakeholders from students to residents and other stakeholders to ensure all have a seat at the table.
