The U.S. Senate primary races were the top race for Tarrant County voters as they came out to the polls. So how did the county’s results line up?
Texans chose state Rep. James Talarico as their Democratic nominee and put U.S. Senator John Cornyn in a Republican runoff against Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton. Cornyn maintained a steady lead on Paxton through election night.
In Tarrant County, voters favored U.S. Senator John Cornyn on the Republican ticket and U.S. Rep. Jasmine Crockett on the Democratic ballot.
With 56 of the 199 polling locations reporting at 1 a.m. on March 4, Cornyn had 45.6% of the vote. Paxton had 37.7%.
Crockett led Talarico, 54.7% to 44.3% in Tarrant County.
