Republicans Ryan Hill and Julie Lugo win primary races for district court judges

Ryan Hill defeated William Knight in the Republican primary for judge of the 371st District Court. Hill will run unopposed in the Nov. 8 general election.

Hill received 58.45% of the vote with all 191 vote centers reporting. Knight had 41.55%.

372nd District Court

Two Republicans are in the running to become judge of the 372nd Criminal District Court.

With no candidates running in the Democratic primary for this position, the winner of Tuesday’s race will run unopposed in the general election in November.

Julie Lugo leads Pamela Boggess with 58.66% of the vote.
