As Republican presidential hopefuls prep for tonight’s debate, a Christian musician named Juk is hoping Texas’ Ted Cruz gets a little extra attention.

Juk performs a nearly 5 minute rap and video — Time for Truth: Ted Cruz Anthem — that was gaining an audience on YouTube Wednesday hours before the GOP debate was to begin.

“I wrote this song after watching the first Republican debate,” Juk noted in the description of his video that was published more than a month ago. “I felt like they didn't give Ted Cruz enough time to speak, so I am determined to whatever I can do to let America know what an awesome presidential candidate Ted Cruz really is.”

Cruz has said he was disappointed with the air time he has gotten in earlier debates.

In the Sept. 16 debate, for instance, he got the seventh most time, according to an NPR review.

Juk, who describes Cruz in his song as a “gift from God,” says that’s just not enough time.

“Are you fed up with the excuses? Ted Cruz has got your back, standing for America, marriage and super PACs,” the chorus of Juk’s song says. “Taking down the Washington Cartel, he’s fighting for our well being, a gift from God, here to act.”

Tonight’s 7 p.m. presidential debate, entitled “Your Money, Your Vote,” is being held at the Coors Events Center at the University of Colorado in Boulder and will air on CNBC.

Ten candidates will be on the stage: Donald Trump, Ben Carson, Jeb Bush, Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz, Mike Huckabee, Rand Paul, Carly Fiorina, Chris Christie, and John Kasich.

Four other candidates will participate in a 5 p.m. forum: Rick Santorum, Bobby Jindal, George Pataki, and Lindsey Graham.
