Tarrant County’s Day 2 early voter turnout outnumbers busy Day One
Turnout on the second day of early voting in Tarrant County outshined the already impressive number of ballots cast on Day One of the primary races.
Tuesday’s voting brought out nearly 15,000 voters. Democrats continued to outnumber Republicans at the polls.
In the past three midterm primary elections, Republicans have outnumbered the Democrats voting on Day One of early voting.
Roughly 2,000 more voters showed up on Wednesday, with about 1,000 more voters from both parties.
Keller Town Hall and the Gary Fickes Northeast Tarrant County Courthouse are the two most popular voting locations for Republicans. Democrats preferred the Dionne Phillips Bagsby Southwest Subcourthouse and City of Arlington South Service Center polling locations.
The top contested primaries include the U.S. Senate.
Voters can cast their ballot early until Feb. 27, and Election Day is March 3.
