Since President Donald Trump’s inauguration in January, the administration has laid off or fired thousands of federal workers and canceled contracts or grants impacting groups across the country in an effort to promote efficiency.

An estimated 54,000 federal employees work in North Texas, according to the Congressional Research Service.

Hearing directly from impacted workers through the form at the bottom of this story will help the Star-Telegram better report on any federal changes happening at a local level, whether that’s jobs lost across North Texas, local effects of the federal firings, immigrants fighting deportation orders, the loss of federal funding or other issues.

If you have any information about how these changes are affecting you or people you know — especially those working for a government agency or a nonprofit or other organization impacted by the cuts — please fill out the form below so we can help inform the public.

You may request to share information confidentially.
