Texas elections 2022: Early voting in Tarrant County begins Oct. 24
Early voting in Texas begins Monday and the deadline to apply for a mail-in ballot is next week.
Here are dates to remember for the 2022 election season.
Early voting
When: Oct. 24-Nov. 4
- Oct. 24-28: 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
- Oct. 29: 7 a.m.-7 p.m.
- Oct. 30: 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
- Oct. 31-Nov. 4: 7 a.m.-7 p.m.
Early voting in Tarrant County starts Oct. 24 and takes place daily through Nov. 4.
Registered voters can go to any polling location in the county. A list of 50 early voting locations is available on the county website.
Voting by mail
Last day to apply for a mail-in ballot: Received by Oct. 28
Registered Tarrant County voters can apply for a mail-in ballot if they are prevented from voting in-person during the early voting period or on Election Day due to one of the following:
- Are 65 years of age or older
- Disability
- Expected to give birth within three weeks before or after Election Day
- Expected absence from Tarrant County during both the early voting period and on Election Day. The ballot must be mailed to an address outside the county.
- Confined in jail, but not convicted of a felony, or involuntary commitment
Applications are available on the Tarrant County website in English, Spanish and Vietnamese.
All applications must be mailed to Tarrant County Elections at P.O. Box 961011, Fort Worth, Texas 76161 or by express delivery to Tarrant County Elections at 2700 Premier St., Fort Worth, Texas 76111.
Election day
When: Nov. 8
Registered Tarrant County voters can vote in-person at any voting location in the county on Election Day between 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
