In an effort to keep PBR in Tarrant County, the commissioners may hand out some cash.

Commissioners will vote Tuesday on a service agreement that will provide Visit Fort Worth $1.5 million in cost assistance to help maintain PBR’s presence in the city. The money will be matched by the city, according to agenda documents.

In August, PBR announced its intent to leave Las Vegas and permanently move to Fort Worth. The events were hosted in Vegas from 1994 to 2020 and eventually moved to Arlington due to Nevada’s COVID restrictions.

PBR will be in Fort Worth at least through 2024, according to agenda documents, and it is expected to bring $28 million into the city.
