Watch massive sinkhole swallow an entire Mercedes-Benz in Australia
A sinkhole swallowed an entire luxury car on a street in Australia, video shows.
A water main burst in Subiaco on the evening of Sunday, Sept. 18, and created a sinkhole, News.com.au reported.
The flooded sinkhole swallowed a Mercedes-Benz, video shared by 9 News shows. The car gradually slipped beneath the surface as water poured in the open window. The road, fence, and sidewalk nearby were also damaged, footage shows.
The car was later pulled out of the sinkhole, dirty and dusty, video shows.
No one was inside the car, WA Today reported.
About 60 homes and businesses were left without water, WA Today reported.
The water company said they are working to repair the damage, News.com.au reported.
Subiaco is a suburb about 2 miles from Perth.
