A pair of House Republicans are pushing to include Charlie Kirk’s likeness on U.S. currency.

Texas Rep. August Pfluger and Arizona Rep. Abe Hamadeh told FOX News they will introduce a bill instructing the Treasury Department to create 400,000 dollar coins memorializing the deceased conservative activist.

Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA, was shot and killed on Sept. 10 while speaking to a large crowd at Utah Valley University. His memorial service, held on Sept. 21 in Arizona, attracted thousands of attendees, including President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance, Tucker Carlson and Elon Musk.

“Charlie Kirk inspired millions of Americans, and his impact deserves permanent recognition,” Pfluger wrote on X on Sept. 24.

“Proud to join @RepAbeHamadeh in his effort to honor Charlie’s life with a commemorative coin that will preserve his legacy for generations to come,” he added.

The silver coins — which would be recognized as official currency — would feature Kirk’s face on one side and the phrase “Well done, good and faithful servant” on the reverse, according to FOX News.

The final design, though, would be picked by Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and President Donald Trump.

The government has been minting commemorative coins since 1982, according to the U.S. Mint. Past coins have honored some of the nation’s most celebrated figures, including Harriet Tubman, Mark Twain, Abraham Lincoln and Benjamin Franklin.

If the bill is approved, it would be an unprecedented turnaround, as most commemorative coins celebrate long-deceased individuals.
