A dog who had spent over 125 days in a South Carolina shelter got to spend the day living the perfect perks of everyday life out in the world.

Meet Wren, a black hound puppy whose journey went viral on TikTok as she experienced some “firsts” that all pups should at some point in their lives.

“Wren has spent most of her life in the shelter. She doesn’t know what it feels like to curl up on a couch, stroll down the street on a walk, or ride in the car for a pup cup with her person. But on our day out, she finally got to experience those simple joys, and she loved every second,” @aguyandagolden said in a Aug. 23 TikTok post.

But on our day out, she finally got to experience those simple joys, and she loved every second. Wren is sweet, gentle, and was wonderful with kids and everyone we met on our day out. She’s been waiting over 120 days for her chance at a forever family. Let’s make today the last day she spends in the shelter. If you’ve been looking for a loyal companion, you can find Wren at @Greenville Humane Society . And a special thank you to @Katelyn & Archie for always helping these day outs go smooth. It’s clear in the video that Wren is more than enjoying her day — from seeing all the sites, taking a ride in a cart, receiving a toy, to soaking in all sorts of pets — she’s getting to experience what it’s like to be loved.

The Greenville Humane Society gives all the love it can to the sweet girl but is struggling to understand why she hasn’t found her permanent home yet.

“She’s a hound through and through: nose to the ground, ears in the wind, heart full of joy. Whether she’s doing zoomies in the yard or flopping over for belly rubs, Wren brings the goofy energy only a hound dog can!” the shelter said in an Aug. 20 Facebook post.

Wren is not listed on the shelter’s website and is in foster care, the shelter noted in the comment section.
