A DoorDash driver unable to complete an order was tracked to her home by a customer, who is accused of confronting her and vandalizing her car, according to the Wisconsin dasher.

“She did this over a 10-piece chicken wing!” Faith Morris told TMJ4 of the July 11 encounter in Milwaukee.

Morris picked up the customer’s food and was on her way to drop it off when she lost service on her phone, which meant she could not see the drop-off address, according to WISN.

Accompanied by her children, Morris returned home and tried explaining to DoorDash what happened, she told WITI. Then, she began getting messages from the irate customer.

“All of a sudden, I’m getting text messages from the customer saying I’m stealing their food,” Morris told WITI. “And I’m trying to explain to them, I’m not trying to steal their food, that my phone just got turned off.”

Minutes later, the customer showed up at the dasher’s home and knocked on her door, according to WISN. Morris said a DoorDash support agent had given the customer “confidential information,” violating company policy.

Morris told WISN the customer began smashing her car with a tire iron, causing $6,000 worth of damage.

She has now been unable to work and is calling upon DoorDash to protect drivers better, TMJ4 reported.

“I actually need a lawyer, so by the end of this, I can own DoorDash and change the policy because first of all, yes, DoorDash policies need to change,” she told the station.

In a statement to WISN, DoorDash said the customer’s actions were “completely uncalled for, unacceptable and disturbing.” The customer was banned from the platform.

Milwaukee police were investigating the incident and possible charges were being referred to the prosecutor’s office, according to WITI.

“I hope that they don’t take this lightly at all. What she did, it’s not warrant a 10-piece chicken wing,” Morris said in an interview with TMJ4.
