A juvenile in Ohio was arrested after police said he poured gasoline on his brother and lit him on fire.

It happened around 8:30 p.m. June 14 when a group of kids were lighting things on fire in Tremont City, according to Clark County Sgt. Scott Elliott, WDTN reported.

One of the boys threw gas on his 12-year-old brother then intentionally lit him on fire, WECT reported.

“(They) acquired gasoline and were throwing gasoline on each other and setting it on fire for whatever reason,” Lt. Kristopher Shultz told the news outlet.

The boy was hospitalized with second- and third-degree burns, the Springfield News-Sun reported.

“I need a medic ... He got burned on his back really bad ... him and his brother were playing with gasoline and fire,” a 911 caller told dispatchers, as the boy was crying and yelling in the background, according to the outlet.

The boy accused of pouring the gasoline and lighting the fire is charged with aggravated arson and felonious assault, WECT reported.

Tremont City is about a 60-mile drive west of Columbus.
