Lottery winner drives home a millionaire in SC — and is ‘not changing anything’
A South Carolina lottery player sat in his car in disbelief after his scratch-off ticket revealed a life-changing prize, lottery officials said.
The lucky Upstate man won a $2 million jackpot in the 200X game, the South Carolina Education Lottery said in a June 12 news release.
He told lottery officials it took him a moment to get his wits about him before he could drive away from the store.
“I’m not changing anything,” the man said when he picked up his ticket, according to the lottery.
He bought his winning ticket for $20 at a convenience store in Simpsonville, about a 15-mile drive southeast from Greenville, lottery officials said.
Three more top prizes in the 200X game — which began in February — remain, lottery officials said.
The odds of winning are 1 in 1,320,000, according to the lottery.
