A Michigan woman was stunned when she learned she won a huge lottery prize while at work.

Elizabeth LaCroix, 56, was at work when she got an email alert, according to a June 11 news release from the Michigan Lottery.

“I have been playing Fantasy 5 for a while and I always buy my tickets online,” LaCroix, of Edmore, said. “I was at work when an email from the Michigan Lottery came up on my phone saying I won a prize. I assumed it was a few dollars, but I logged in to my account to see how much I’d won.”

That’s when she learned she won much more than a few dollars.

“When I saw $130,000 in my account balance, I started screaming! I showed my coworker to make sure I was seeing things right and then sent a screenshot to my husband. It was hard to get back to work after because I was so shaken up,” LaCroix told lottery officials.

LaCroix matched the Fantasy 5 numbers in the May 27 drawing, according to the release.

She said she plans to add an addition onto her house.

Edmore is about a 60-mile drive northeast from Grand Rapids.
