A man accused of trying to meet a minor at a Chick-fil-A for sex acts is behind bars, Tennessee police said.

Bradley Zach Wolchuk, 29, was arrested May 20 and charged with solicitation of a minor, trafficking for a commercial sex act and unlawful removal of registration at the restaurant in Collegedale, the city’s police department said in a May 21 news release.

Employees called 911 to report the “suspicious” activity, according to police. Officers arrived at about 9:30 p.m. and stopped a car, pointed out by an employee, that was trying to leave.

Authorities said the driver, identified as Wolchuk, was “visibly nervous” and was seen trying to delete messages off his phone while speaking with police.

After further investigation, Wolchuk acknowledged exchanging sexually explicit messages with a 17-year-old boy he met that day, offering the teen a tattoo in exchange for sex acts, police said.

A Chick-fil-A manager and the teen called police when Wolchuk returned to the restaurant, authorities said.

“We are grateful for the cooperation of the business staff and the victim, whose timely report allowed us to intervene,” Police Chief Jack Sapp said in the release.

Wolchuk remained in custody at the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office jail on a $50,000 bond as of May 23, online records show.

Collegedale is about a 20-mile drive east from downtown Chattanooga.
