A Georgia lottery player tried their luck — and hit the jackpot.

Someone won $749,445 in the Fantasy 5 drawing Tuesday, May 20, according to the Georgia Lottery. The winning ticket, sold at a Chevron Food Mart in Morrow, matched all five numbers.

Officials did not say if the winner has come forward.

McClatchy News reached out to the Georgia Lottery for more information May 21 and was awaiting a response.

The winning Fantasy 5 numbers were 8-9-15-24-32, results show.

The lucky player beat odds of 1-in-850,668 to win the top prize, according to the lottery’s website.

Winners have 180 days from the draw date to claim prizes and are encouraged to sign the back of their ticket, the Georgia Lottery said.

Morrow is about a 15-mile drive southeast from downtown Atlanta.

Many people can gamble or play games of chance without harm. However, for some, gambling is an addiction that can ruin lives and families.
