Two lottery players win six-figure jackpots a day apart in Georgia. Here’s where
Two Fantasy 5 players in Georgia tried their luck — and both snagged six-figure prizes.
The lucky winners hit the jackpot one day apart, winning $150,000 and $125,000, respectively, according to the Georgia Lottery.
The first ticket, sold at the Country Line County Store in Fayetteville, matched five numbers in the drawing Friday, April 25, the lottery said. The other was sold at a Publix grocery store in Cartersville for the April 26 drawing.
The Fayetteville player claimed their prize April 28 but the Cartersville ticket remained unclaimed as of April 29, a lottery spokesperson told McClatchy News.
The winning Fantasy 5 numbers drawn April 25 were 10-17-24-37-38, according to the lottery’s website. The numbers in the April 26 drawing were 6-16-23-34-41.
Both players beat odds of 1-in-850,668 to take the top prize, the Georgia Lottery said.
The back-to-back wins are the latest for the Peach State and come days after two Fantasy 5 players each won a $447,264 jackpot in the drawing April 23, McClatchy News reported.
One ticket was sold at a gas station in Griffin and the other at a Publix in Norcross, according to the Georgia Lottery.
Winners have 180 days from the draw date to claim prizes, the lottery’s website says. Players are encouraged to sign the back of their ticket.
