A 10-year-old suffered a broken arm in a crash after a driver fled officers, California police reported.

An officer tried to pull over a vehicle for failing to stop at a stop sign but the driver took off at 8:24 p.m. Monday, April 21, Simi Valley police said in a news release.

The driver ran several red lights during the two-minute chase, police said.

The pursuit ended when the vehicle crashed into a parked vehicle, police said.

Officers arrested the accused driver, 23, of Los Angeles, on charges including evading police, reckless driving and child endangerment, police said.

The man’s 10-year-old sibling, who was a passenger in the vehicle, suffered a broken arm and other injuries, police said.

His mother and brother, who also were in the vehicle, were taken to a hospital as well, police said.
