An 18-year-old was shot and killed during a robbery of his vape pens, Minnesota authorities say.

Four teenagers are now charged in the death of Diamond Eddie Manly, who the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office said was fatally shot March 2.

Deputies said Manly was found “slumped over” in a car in Ramsey. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to a March 28 update from the Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office, the four teenage suspects planned to rob Manly of his vape pens when “they committed murder.”

“They ran through Diamond Eddie Manly’s pockets as he begged for help,” authorities said. “Then they ran away.”

Authorities said Manly was “left for dead” as the teens fled the “quiet neighborhood.”

In recent weeks, the last two of the four teenagers were captured with help from the sheriff’s SWAT team, the sheriff said. In all, they arrested two 17-year-olds, a 16-year-old and a 15-year-old, deputies said.

Manly was a senior at Champlin Park High School, where he was a member of the soccer team, WCCO reported.

“I am in so much pain. My heart is so broken,” his mother, Leona Yogei Manly, told KSTP. “Diamond was the sweetest baby. He’s somebody that jokes around. He wants to make you smile.”

Ramsey is about a 30-mile drive northwest from Minneapolis.
