Lottery player wins $530,000 jackpot in Georgia. Where was the lucky ticket sold?
A lucky lottery player hit the jackpot, winning a six-figure prize in Georgia.
The Acworth resident won $529,891 playing Fantasy 5, the Georgia Lottery said. The winning ticket, purchased on the lottery’s mobile app, matched all five numbers in the March 8 drawing.
The winning numbers were 7-15-21-25-38, results show.
The lucky player beat odds of 1-in-850,668 to snag the grand prize, according to the Georgia Lottery’s website.
It’s the latest in a string of lottery wins for the Peach State and comes less than a week after someone hit the jackpot for $5 million playing a scratch-off game in Rockmart, lottery officials said.
That player claimed their winnings March 3, taking home $2,579,679 after taxes.
Winners in Georgia have 180 days from the draw date to claim prizes and are encouraged to sign the back of their tickets, the Georgia Lottery said.
Acworth is about a 30-mile drive northwest from downtown Atlanta.
