A Missouri man is accused of luring five women he met on a dating app back to his home and raping them, officials said.

Yahya Maly, 28, was charged by the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office on Wednesday, Feb. 12, according to a news release shared by county police.

No attorney information was available for Maly.

The alleged sexual assaults happened over the course of about 23 months, beginning in March 2023, officials said, with his most recent victim telling police Maly attacked her Feb. 2 at his apartment in Ballwin — which is a roughly 20-mile drive west from St. Louis.

The woman told investigators she connected with Maly through a dating app and, believing they “shared conservative values,” she agreed to a first date and met at a park near his home, officials said. However, officials said that at some point during the date he asked if she wanted to go to his apartment and she said yes.

They went inside, she sat down on his couch and he told her “they were now married,” then dragged her into his bedroom, investigators said.

She managed to resist at first, got out of his bedroom and back to the couch, but he took her into the bedroom again a short time later, according to officials. Maly held her down on the bed and assaulted her, causing her to “suffer pain and bleeding,” investigators said.

He kept her in the bedroom for seven hours, and officials said he raped her three times, forced her to shower repeatedly between attacks and then let her leave.

Investigators spoke with four other women who shared similar situations with Maly. They tried to stop him verbally and physically, but any resistance was met with violence by Maly, according to officials.

Maly is facing more than a dozen charges, including multiple counts of rape and two counts of kidnapping.

Officials believe there may be more victims and anyone with information is asked to contact investigators at 314-615-5400.
