One gambler bet less than a dollar on a Las Vegas slot machine and won a big prize.

The player sat at a Fu Dai Lian Lian Boost Tiger slot machine at Durango Casino & Resort, the casino said in a Feb. 11 post on X, formerly known as Twitter.

The visitor then bet 88 cents, hit spin and watched as the symbols flashed across the screen until a jackpot message appeared showing a $14,695.76 win.

“Amazing way to start the day,” the casino wrote.

Durango Casino & Resort is about a 10-mile drive southwest from the Strip.

Other gamblers recently got lucky at slot machines in Vegas.

A player went to Binion’s Gambling Hall & Hotel in downtown Las Vegas, bet $1.50 on a machine and won more than $11,000.

Then another gambler won approximately $16,585 at Boulder Station Hotel & Casino. This visitor bet $2.25 on a Buffalo Gold Revolution slot machine.

Many people can gamble or play games of chance without harm. However, for some, gambling is an addiction that can ruin lives and families.

If you or a loved one shows signs of gambling addiction, you can seek help by calling the national gambling hotline at 1-800-522-4700 or visiting the National Council on Problem Gambling website.
