‘Bitter over an ex?’ Name a cat after them just before it loses a very important part
A trend started a while ago at a zoo that would allow disgruntled people to name a cockroach after their ex-partners before they were fed to their reptiles in honor of Valentine’s Day. Well, an Oklahoma shelter is going the extra mile on this year’s sweetheart holiday.
Name a stray cat after them right before the shelter takes away their ability to, well, reproduce.
“Feeling bitter over an ex? We can help “fix” the problem. For a $15 donation, we’ll name a feral cat after your ex. We’ll then spay/neuter the kitty so they’ll no longer break hearts by contributing to animal overpopulation in Oklahoma,” the Oklahoma Humane Society in Oklahoma City said in a Jan. 29 Facebook post.
“We’ll post photos of the named spayed/neutered cats to the OK Humane Facebook & Instagram pages every Friday until Valentine’s Day (because everyone deserves to laugh at your ex’s expense).”
The name of the event?
Of course, a lot of shelters all over the country are jumping on the shame your ex bandwagon, including the Adams County SPCA in Pennsylvania.
Donations need to be made by Feb. 12 to the Oklahoma Humane Society.
