A gambler hit a slot machine jackpot with just a couple of quarters at a Las Vegas casino and won thousands.

The lucky visitor was at the Palace Station Hotel and Casino, the casino said in a Jan. 18 post on X, formerly known as Twitter.

The player sat at a Super Buffalo slot machine and bet 50 cents.

When the visitor hit spin and watched as the symbols flashed across the screen, a jackpot message appeared.

The casino said the gambler won $10,212.73.

Another gambler at the same casino recently won a big prize.

This visitor was at a Buffalo Dash Cash slot machine, bet $1 and won $10,127.82.

Palace Station Hotel and Casino is a 3-mile drive north from the Las Vegas Strip.

Many people can gamble or play games of chance without harm. However, for some, gambling is an addiction that can ruin lives and families.

If you or a loved one shows signs of gambling addiction, you can seek help by calling the national gambling hotline at 1-800-522-4700 or visiting the National Council on Problem Gambling website.
