A daily Michigan lottery player finally won big – and he knows exactly what he wants to do with his prize money, officials said.

Peter Kour of Dearborn Heights told lottery officials he plays “Fantasy 5” every day, according to a Nov. 4 news release from Michigan Lottery Connect.

The 81-year-old said he used his lottery app to check the winning “Fantasy 5” numbers on Oct. 7 and quickly realized that day was unlike any other, according to the release.

“I think I may have won half of the jackpot!” Kour told his wife, according to lottery officials.

“We didn’t get too excited at first because I have been one number off a few times, so we thought maybe that was the case,” Kour said, per the release. “After looking over the winning numbers and my ticket a few more times, we knew it was real!”

Kour won $131,113 half of the $262,226 jackpot. His winning “Fantasy 5” numbers were 09-16-18-27-35, lottery officials said.

Each “Fantasy 5” play is $1, according to the release.

Kour said he plans to “send his wife on a shopping spree” with his prize and save the rest, according to lottery officials.

He bought his winning ticket at Belmont Services in Dearborn Heights, per the release.

Dearborn Heights is about a 20-mile drive west from Detroit.
