Husband tells 911 he stabbed wife in a parking lot before her death, Arizona cops say
A man was arrested after Arizona officials say he told 911 he stabbed his wife shortly before she died.
Officers responded to a parking lot in Phoenix and found 37-year-old Aliccia Grant stabbed multiple times, according to a Sept. 9 news release by the police department.
Grant was transported to a local hospital where she later died, officials said.
During the investigation, 911 operators got a call from Grant’s husband, 35-year-old Stephen Dennis, officials said.
Dennis told the operators he had stabbed his wife and gave them his location, officers said.
Dennis was arrested, and the knife police believe he used was found, officials said.
Police didn’t specify what led to the stabbing.
He was booked into the Maricopa County Jail on a murder charge, officials said. An investigation into the case is ongoing.
