Lottery ticket worth $1 million sold at Florida Publix. Here’s where
A Florida Lottery player turned $20 into a $1 million prize with a ticket sold at Publix.
Mary Curatolo bought a $5,000,000 Triple Match scratch-off ticket at a Publix in Haines City, according to a Sept. 5 news release from the Florida Lottery.
On the last line of the ticket, she scratched the box that revealed a $1 million prize, beating the 1-in-1,677,647 odds of hitting a second-tier win, lottery officials shared.
She claimed her winnings at Lottery headquarters in Tallahassee and opted for a one-time sum of $664,198, officials said.
Curatolo hit one of 18 prizes worth $1 million in the game. Two top prizes of $5 million remain, according to the Florida Lottery.
Haines City is in Polk County, about a 60-mile drive east from Tampa.
