A lucky gambler didn’t have to spend a long time at a slot machine before winning a life-changing prize in Las Vegas.

Now, the player is $454,044 richer.

The local player sat at a Monopoly Cash Wheel slot machine Aug. 28 at the Rampart Casino at the Resort at Summerlin, the hotel said in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter.

After about 10 minutes of watching the symbols flash on the screen and placing a $5 bet, a jackpot message appeared saying they had won a huge prize.

Rampart Casino is about a 15-mile drive northwest from the Strip.

Many people can gamble or play games of chance without harm. However, for some, gambling is an addiction that can ruin lives and families.
