Gambler bets $10 on slot machine — then wins life-changing prize near Lake Tahoe
A gambler from San Francisco will return home with a life-changing prize after hitting a huge jackpot at a Nevada casino near Lake Tahoe.
The lucky person won over $1 million off a $10 bet.
They were at the Grand Lodge Casino on Aug. 22 in Incline Village, according to a news release from the casino.
The visitor sat at a “Wheel of Fortune” Gold Spin Deluxe slot machine — the Five Times Pay version — bet $10 and hit spin.
They watched as the symbols flashed across the screen until they were alerted of a jackpot.
The player had won $1,137,093.42.
“With this latest jackpot, the casino has paid out almost $9 million in Wheel of Fortune Wide Area Progressives,” the casino’s director of marketing, Jill Stewart, said in the release. “To have so many life-changing jackpots here is incredible.
Incline Village is off the northeastern shore of Lake Tahoe.
