A kitten’s “joy ride” ended with her stuck inside a car dashboard, California firefighters say.

Crews from Fresno Fire Station 19 responded to the call about the trapped kitten, the Fresno Fire Department said in an Aug. 21 Facebook post.

“We may not rescue cats out of trees, but cars… bring it on,” the department wrote.

Firefighters managed to free “the scared kitten” with “some maneuvering,” firefighters said.

A video from the department shared on Facebook shows a fireman reaching deep in the car’s dashboard, grasping a kitten and placing her inside a cardboard carrier labeled “Caution! Precious cargo.”

“When it comes to rescues, our firefighters prove that no mission is too small or too furry,” firefighters said.

The kitten, who’s been named Passenger Princess, is recovering, according to firefighters.
