A woman asking her boyfriend to buy her sweetener for her coffee ended up landing him a huge lottery win in Maryland, officials said.

While running the errand at Walmart, Brian Murray bought two winning scratch-offs worth $10 each, according to an Aug. 15 news release by the Maryland Lottery.

Murray, of Westminster, used the winnings to buy four $5 Gold Rush 7s Tripler scratch-offs, officials said. He had no idea one would be carrying a $50,000 prize.

“I couldn’t believe it!,” Murray told lottery officials.

Murray has a list of what he’ll do with the winnings.

“This is the coolest thing that’s ever happened to me,” he said.

His first priority is to take his girlfriend on a trip to Puerto Rico, officials said.

“I’m going to take the most awesome person in the world to the most awesome place,” he said in the release.

He also hopes to take an “epic” fishing trip with his friend so they can fish for red drum, officials said.

The rest of the money left over will go toward paying off his car loan, officials said.

Westminster is about a 40-mile drive northwest of Baltimore.
